Support. Connection. Stability.

Friendship House is a clubhouse-style community program for adults living with mental illness. It provides a safe, welcoming space for individuals to find purpose, social connection, and daily structure — all outside of traditional treatment models.

Who We Serve

Friendship House is for adults with chronic mental illness who want to connect, engage, and find support in a voluntary, non-clinical setting. Participants shape the community’s atmosphere and activities.

Program Goals

Promote recovery and wellness by creating a centered, strengths-based environment that empowers individuals through peer support. Offer mental health programming that is non-treatment based for those who choose not to engage in, or do not require, more intensive traditional mental health care.

Link individuals facing mental health challenges to valuable resources within the community and mental health system.

Support individuals and help them gain the skills to advocate for themselves.

Encourage community involvement through social activities and volunteer opportunities.

Encouraging everyone to share their ideas about the club not only enriches our community but also empowers them to take charge in other aspects of their lives.

Create opportunities for social interaction for individuals with severe mental illness.

Why It Matters

It's not treatment, it's community.

Friendship House helps individuals overcome isolation by building a daily routine, confidence, and meaningful social connections. It's a place to be seen, supported, and empowered.
