Karissa has been involved in the medical field since middle school when she began volunteering as a candy striper. At age 14 she obtained her CNA certification and started her journey in healthcare that led her though multiple nursing licenses and degree. In 2023 she earned her Master of Science in Nursing and became a Nurse practitioner, specializing in mental health. Karissa's nursing experience includes pediatrics, geriatrics, cardiovascular care, the operating room, and mental health. She provides psychiatric care for children ages 10 and older, with a primary focus on adult mental health. Karissa is dedicated to providing compassionate, evidence-based care and partnering with patients to support their mental health and overall well-being.
